Lords of Waterdeep
« on: May 28, 2013, 06:31:08 pm »
1) Who has the club's game of Lords of Waterdeep and can it be returned sometime?

2) If people want to replace the cubes with little wooden D&D characters, this might be the place to go:

I've been trying to find out who has it. However I have no way to contact the person who I THINK has it. Iris hasn't responded to me with the gmail account info so I can't dig around for an email.

By the way, there is a granddaddy of Agricola/Lord of Waterdeep etc. called Caylus that is meant to be pretty good (but less luck and more screw-your-neighbour).

I have a copy of LoW, but I don't think it belongs to the club.

I know it's not, my copy is on the other side of the country from the clubhouse.

Just played Lords of Waterdeep for the first time at Board Game Warriors last night. I liked it so much I bought a copy of the game right there and then! You play a dude, that sends out dudes, to recruit other dudes! The latter have the adventures, the former gets the victory points.

I think this is the first "meeples" game that I "get".  Maybe it is the flavour-text, maybe it is a simple "meeples" game as "meeples" games go.

"Meeples" = the dudes you send out to recruit other dudes.

I have the expansion set now too, but haven't tried it yet.  But being able to play a 6 player game is nice too, and that was part of the reason I got the expansion.
