Hi all,

Looks like my wife will be taking Monday and Wednesday night courses in the next semester (January to April 2013) so I was wondering what, if any, games are running at the Wargamers on those evenings and whether they would have a spot open or not.

No pressure, no promises, just looking for info at this point.

Wednesday is our 'official' board games night, but we do have an extra room booked in case someone wants to start a campaign on that day.

Monday we have Jon L.'s intro D&D campaign and Jamie's Deadlands campaign. Both have a full complement of players already, but you can ask the GM's if they have room for one more.
The algorithms I am programmed with do not support the comprehension of illogical human thought.

Speaking from the intro DnD group on Monday,  we could use another player. You might wanna ask Jon though, so far we have 4 players after One left.
If its for next semester though, might have to get back on that one first.

No worries.  Any idea what kind of class would best fill the holes of your party?  Is there a certain theme being aimed for?  Is it Pathfinder or 3.5?

Well the current party makeup is a wizard(evoker I think), a Druid, a fighter and a bard. It's 3.5 (core only? Not sure but we've only used core so far)
As for the feel, the world seems fairly standard fantasy with old gods and lots of tentacle monsters

Sounds like the bases are covered, actually.  I mean you could maybe have a rogue if you are running into traps a lot, but if not, then no real need.  Maybe a dedicated healing cleric if the druid is tired of doing the healing, but if not, no need.

What were the chargen rules?  Point-buy?  4d6 in order?  4d6 any order?  Other?  What level are you guys?

Chargen was ( I believe) 4d6 drop lowest any order. We just hit level 7

Edit: also bard is multiclassing into bard7/rogue3/arcane trickster, and the druid seems mostly melee-oriented

Hmmm . . . maybe a dedicated healing cleric would work then (a half-orc cleric might be fun).  But I will see what happens in January.

Do you use the gods in the PHB, or a special set of gods?

I have no idea actually, you'd have to ask ExQualibr

The good news is that if you come in on Mondays and join John's campaign, you'll be able to listen to the farce that is my campaign.

Btw, is playing in your game an option or are you full up?

Sure! Just be warned that you might not like what the party may be doing next session.

Well I would not be joining any Monday game until January anyhow.  My wife hasn't started to take Monday night classes yet and she wants me at home!   ;)

Well my wife is not taking evening courses on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  I already asked about the other two, but what is happening on Tuesday evenings?
