The giant statue gave good fight
When it went down, 'twas bad green light
The villagers are frozen still
A "druid" helped out with all bad will
A dream was had about an egg
Some green folk were made by "mistake".
The Fool was rumoured to appear
A river fought then, far too near
The spider king was summoned back
Two heroes fell, alas alack!

The cat limped in a dream to beg
The chickens didn't get their egg
The party learned about a spider
A cohort found magic inside her
Medallions were nightmare fuel
More troubles caused by Evil Fool
A Knight was slain, some nightmares fled
The players seem quite filled with dread!

Knew I forgot something . . .
The cat returned to cause some woe,
But was pre-wounded in the toe.
Some Viking Gods were now approached
After a threat that they'd be poached.
A brave horse fell, a witch arose,
A hermit's mind a demon chose.
A bastard made a plea for peace.
And after Mom, a land of ice!

Well we tried a new system with the same game. I find myself liking Wushu as a system, although I have to remember to up the Mook threat rating and keep the Big Bad chi rating relatively low.
Anyhow, the summary.
The tower with mom was not unguarded,
Evil sheriff's magic warded
Flying apes and crocodiles
Had the party lack its smiles
But battle won, mom was released
As was Maid Marion (so pleased)
The party then fought foes temporal:
Yellow-leeching mist was awful.
Finally a village filled
With armless statues (were they killed?)
Two rubes led them to Witch insane
And with her dead, some hope remains.
[I admit that my poetry will never win prizes]

The angels of faith, hope and love
Gave some assurance from Above.
King Arthur showed, bereft of life
and asked the group to save his wife.
Some more Moors dead, a whistle found
At Camelot they sneaked around
They found a boat, to get out fast
And then it seemed the die was cast.
A few stayed with the boat, but fought
A creature who some passage sought.
The rest went to find Guenevere.
But lo her torture was severe.
They fought 3 Morgans of le Fay.
But virtue proved to win the day.
2 Morgans dead, 1 had remorse.
The party had to take their course
with great alarcity betide.
The 2 dead Morgans were inside
the bods of Arthur and his wife.
With Robin's arrows ending strife.
So Robin's reputation's worse.
And that's enough for this bad verse.

Oh there will be NO game on Sat. Feb. 6. Next game Sat. Feb. 13th.
Btw, I am willing to run games during the Olympic Season. But I don't know how free or busy the rest of you will be during that time. Thoughts?

Sorry guys, but I seriously hurt my hand which means carrying lots of books is out, and either pain or happy drugs will make it too hard to run the game. So the game is on indefinite hiatus. Anyone else want to run something?

I can run a short-shot campaign of something if people want. Mutants & Masterminds 2e game, perhaps? Or an off the cuff Bleach themed game run out Exalted?
In any case, I'll have my M&M 2e books with me tomorrow, just in case.

that would give me a chance to try a blaster/flying/teleporting/high defense warlock-type.

PL 10. so far so good! So far we have an accountant trapped in a warlock's body (me Jacob Smith - Ablastor)), a member of a holy order of knights (Sir Bruce - a psychic twin to Mr. Wayne), and a space marine (Sgt. Cygnus(?)). The warlock works very well in M&M, although our characters have very different ideas about killing bad guys (me never, knight when necessary, space marine default). Ablastor's body and Sir Bruce are from another dimension, and the Space Marine joined us while we were in still another dimension, but now they are in Jacob's home dimension (probably). We are now on probation in Freedom City and next week face off vs. the dreaded random plot generator.
