Treasurer Re-Election
« on: August 15, 2009, 02:58:58 pm »
sooooo...i am getting kicked out of UBC for a year. its so bullshit i have an average of 59.5% and then UBC commerce tells me i need a 60% average to continue. anyways so we have to elect a new treasurer, and then from there i`ll tell him (or her) wat they have to do. this should be done as soon as possible because all the paperwork needs to be done by sept 17 (its not that much) and possibly sooner if we want a booth on clubs day. i probably should have said this a lot sooner, but i was too ashamed.

Your presence will be missed but, like Augustine, you shall make a glorious return.

Does the constitution state a proper means of dealing with this situation? If not, would it actually be feasible to hold an election at the beginning of the term and get everything sorted out on time?

Sigh, I guess I'll make *another* trip to UBC and delay my recovery *again* to look through the constitution. Our VP might be acting treasurer until we get a new one methinks. I will have to ask the AMS about paperwork validity methinks.

You have somehow managed to satisfy the inequality "9000 < x < 60" with something other than the empty set.

I would suggest that you either A) Go to the runner up in the previous election, or B) Hold a new election at the start of term.

Attention wargamers, we have completed our evaluation of the treasurer situation. We regret to announce the following ineligible candidates, which I will read in alphabetical order:

Ma, Geoff.

That is all.

Re-election will be postponed for time being. I'll make a formal announcement once we get bi-election stuff off the ground.
